Summary: Eight
years after Batman took the fall for Two Face's offenses, a new enemy
innovator, Bad thing, overcomes Gotham's best, and the Black Darkish
night resurfaces to secure a town that has labeled him an attacker. The
Dark Knight Rises is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher
Nolan's Batman trilogy, Leading an all-star international cast, Oscar
winner Christian Bale ("The Fighter") again plays the dual role of Bruce
Wayne/Batman. The film also stars Anne Hathaway, as Selina Kyle; Tom
Hardy, as Bane; Oscar winner Marion Cotillard, as Miranda Tate; and
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, as John Blake.
Nolan was originally cautious about coming back to the sequence for a second time, but decided to come back after creating a tale with his sibling Jonathan and Mark S. Goyer that he sensed would determine the sequence on a sufficient note. The movie has ideas in the Superman comic sequence Knightfall (1993), which came out the rogue Bane; The Black Darkish night Profits (1986), in which Superman returns to Gotham City after a ten-year absence; and No Person's Land (1999), which represents Gotham being flooded by gangs.
